Tips and Tricks:

• Always use a nap layout
• Spread bulky and thick fabric right side up in a single layer
• Cut using duplicate pattern pieces
• Mark the wrong side with a chalked arrow in the direction of the nap
• Lengthen the stitch slightly for medium weight woolens and more for heavy fabrics
• Understitch by machine or hand so the facings don‰۪t roll to the outside
• Stabilize shoulders, waist and edges to prevent stretching
• For a flatter finish slash and spread darts open
• Underline pants and skirts to preserve shape
• Medium steam when pressing and use a pressing cloth
